Chef Jeff McCourt

Chef Jeff McCourt – CEO, Chef, Glasgow Glen Farm

Island-born Jeff McCourt is a chef, an award-winning cookbook author and local food ambassador. He is also the Past President of the PEI Association of Chefs and Cooks and Past President of the PEI Culinary Alliance. After graduating from The Culinary Institute of Canada, Jeff worked for CP Hotels in Halifax and then served as Sous Chef to Chef Michael Smith for five years before becoming Chef at The Inn at Bay Fortune. He then moved on to stints at The Mountain Lodge and Spa at Delphi, in the west of Ireland, Confederation Centre of The Arts, Red Shores Racetrack and Casino in Charlottetown and Chef Instructor at the Culinary Institute of Canada and Holland College’s Culinary Bootcamps. He brings extensive experience in restaurant start-ups, an intimate knowledge of Prince Edward Island’s culinary landscape, and has a network of chefs both on and off the Island. Glasgow Glen Farm is a family farm and family business supported by his wife Grace and his two children- Finn and Molly.

Grace McCourt – VP, Sales and Marketing, Glasgow Glen Farm

Grace has an 18 year career in both the tourism/hospitality and education sectors, both in Canada and abroad. Her experience includes positions such as Operations Manager with the Inn at Spry Point, Front Desk Manager with the Delphi Mountain Lodge & Spa, Ireland, and Corporate Sales Manager with Rodd Hotels & Resorts Ltd. Since 2008, she has been the Program Coordinator with the Executive Master of Business Administration program at the University of Prince Edward Island. She has a Bachelor Degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management from Mount Saint Vincent University. She is a board member of the New Glasgow Community Corporation.

Cheesemaker Donald Younie

Donald Younie – Assistant Cheesemaker

Donald Younie grew up in Bangor, a rural community in eastern Prince Edward Island. A middle part of a large, busy family, he learned hard work and precision from a young age, and this has served him well so far in life. He lives with his wife and daughter in nearby Emyvale, PEI and thoroughly looks forward to a day’s unfolding at the farm. Among music, cheese and food, Donald has many interests and passions in life, which he juggles along with family and work. He is Jeff’s “right-hand man” for the production side of the business.

Colleen Younie – Secretary/Treasurer, Glasgow Glen Farm

Colleen Younie has been an employee of the Prince Edward Island Department of Agriculture and Forestry for the past 40 years, in the area of farm business management. She has worked extensively with farm businesses in all aspect of management, most notably accounting, business planning, and succession planning. Colleen has a degree in agriculture from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Guelph. In addition, she has been involved with a number of volunteer boards in her community, and has done accounting for a number of local organizations.

Effective November 4th, 2019, we are open 4 days per week:

Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays: 11 am to 5:30 pm

Fridays: 11 am to 6 pm

Closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays.
